Just finished up my first knife handle. Had the folks at Bloodroot Blades make the blade. 1095 steel i think(might be L6), 4.5" cutting edge, 8.5"OAL, Handle: walnut, curly maple with brass inlay and brass bolsters.

Thanks for looking. If you want to see the process of making the handle I made a WIP thread here

Holy smokes! I'm still trying to make a handle out of a plastic cutting board. And failing miserably! Lol! Nice work!

Thanks Yall! I really appreciate your compliments. I do a bit of woodworking and have done a few gun grips which is somewhat similar but its the first time ive applied woodworking to a knife handle.

Okay, now the previous woodworking experience makes sense. But that handle is really good looking none the less.

I think back to the first handle I made... and the second, and third... and the one hundredth... and they were nowhere near the quality of yours.
To say it's beautiful is an understatement.

Thanks Trip! I probably should have said something about that in the original post to clarify. There is definitely no way I could have done this without the awesome blade the guys at Bloodroot Blades made for me. I have yet to attempt to make a complete knife from start to finish. Maybe one day heh.

Barcbsa, Thank you for the huge compliment! It has taken me a number of years doing woodworking off and on to get anywhere near the confidence level to attempt something like this. Countless projects gone to the scrap pile with each teaching me something new so I could hopefully improve on the next one.
