Hello all. Well after about a 6 month dry spell, I've finally finished a knife. Prior to my wife and I having our first child in September, and me starting a new job in November, I was turning out a knife every couple of weeks. It's nice to get something finished again, and it's starting to get me fired up again about knife making.
This was my first time to work with pearl. (Mother of Pearl.) I was pretty worried about it from all that I had heard and read. I kept the garage door up, and fan blowing on me, and I wore a respirator. The experience turned out a lot better than I had expected.
Here is a little info about the knife: The knife is a scale release automatic with mother of pearl scales, a 440c stainless blade, and nickel silver bolsters and liners. The knife measures 3 1/4 inches closed, 5 1/2 inches opened, and the blade is 2 3/8 inches.
Thanks for looking. -chris
