I don’t know why I waited this long to pick up a Recon Tanto. Hair-shaving sharp out of the box, solid feel, and that thick durable tip. I’ve got a soft spot for Western Tantos.

That brings me great confidence, Smiling. Thanks for sharing. I’ll see how mine holds up through the years and I’ll come back and tell ya. Knife feels great in the hand. My only concern really is the Secure-Ex possibly dulling the blade. I plan to get a quality leather sheath when COVID-19 blows over.

Leather promotes corrosion so my advice would be to keep it out of sheath while storing it.
