[/IMG]ok the pics are pretty bad ,my camera software wont cooperate so i had to use my phone.the blade is 4 3/4" "frontier damascus" as per Bruce Evans' influence.(thanks for the help bruce) .its got allot of stuff in it some ball bearings, some cable, chainlink, wrenches, sockets, and a toenail clipper for laughs.the guard is polished cable damascus, the handle is waterbuffalo horn with nickle pins on a mortised tang.my shop setup is pretty small and i'm limited with my power usage but man is it just fun to create! i need to get better pics up so you guys can tear me up on the details (I really need to work on precision)thanks to every one on the forums for all the help.I mostly just read old posts but hopefully i'll be putting up pics of some nice work soon
is this thing on ?tap tap tap....i reposted the pics using imageshack
those pics show the blade better.rlinger? is that a:thumbdn: for style points only? or does it affect the handle strength i just kinda got carried away trying to make it pretty.
The only outstanding thing I care little for is that you are LONG on pinnng. Saying that though I can see you made a design of it and therefore made a reason for doing so. If you were to ask me personal I might suggest pinning only enough to prove it has pins enough and no more than. Long on pins always looks like long on pins, regardless of positioning.
