Thanks Dan for posting my picture, I'll be able to post pictures easily soon.
While a picture is important, I thought it would be good to tell everyone how I made it to get more feedback.
I used 1/8" 01
80 - 320grit belts to remove stock, dipping knife in water when it gets warm. I drew the pattern on the flat stock with a pen. I cut the general shape out using a drill. I tapered the handle slightly as it gets further from the blade it gets bigger.
to H/T I had a bit of trouble. The first time I forgot to preheat my oven and thought that the blade might have gotten too cool before I started my temper. The second time I accidently turned a piece of the blade black when grinding so I heat treated again. The final time I heated the blade until it was no longer magnetic and then I heated it a little more. I edge quenched it in cornola oil until the whole knife was black then put the whole thing in. I let it sit for a minute then wiped it off and put it in the oven for 1 hour at 400 degrees. when done I let it cool at room temp.
To finish I used 320-800 grits on my 1x30 craftsman belt grinder, I think it would have helped to have a piece of leather on the platen. I bought handle material from Jantz and shaped it slightly oversized and put the rivits in. I then sanded it to the shape I wanted and used tru oil finish. I put two coats on.
What I don't like about the knife is it doesn't have exactly even bevels, the rivits and wood don't fit together perfectly, you can see glue between them, Using 500 grit sandpaper on the handle turned a little bit of it black and the finish never got as hard as I thought it was going to. The handle could be a little bigger too. As far as its performance, I don't know, I haven't skinned anything with it yet.
