First knife purchase in a few years!

honestly dont remember when i bought one last... but i just scored a '79 Western 531 Black Diamond Lockback off a great forum member.
and it Hadnt been abused or probably even carried all that much for that matter. Ive been after on of these for a long while, getting discouraged by the offerings on ebay (bad shape or minty safe queens $$$) Lucked into this one. Westerns not a brand you see alot and these even less
got her polished up a little and its replaced my alpha dorado as my edc partner for my case stockman:thumbup:
Anyways thought id share a neat lockback that you dont see alot of and im stoked about having it
its got Stainless blade, delrin handle with a big shield and the critter etch:)

the Palm swell makes for an excellent grip too. I love 110s but this is way more comfortable to hold
you could say I'm biased though lol

I lived on the upper shore of the Chesapeake in NorthEast MD about 20 years ago. There was a Western Auto store there that had guns, knives, fishing tackle and etc. As this is a tourist town with some hunting and fishing. They had a great knife line, I must have missed seeing this model. That's a great find, just beautiful. Congratulations

always wondered why ya dont see more westerns, the 2 i have are excellent knives. they had a few of these in different handles and sizes with bobcats, deer etc pretty neat
