Hi guys,

I'm Jeremie, 28 from Paris. I'm new to this forum and didn't find the proper section to introduce myself so I'll do it here and showing my first knife at the same time. I'm a senior copywriter and manager in a communication and training agency in Paris and also an electronic music producer aka Koringer.
I'm here to learn about knife making and more particularly the words you use in English, and i'm pretty sure I'm not gonna understand a lot at the beginning ^^ (how do you say "émouture" in English for example? no idea)

Here is my first knife. I made it for my uncle for Christmas. I'm obviously far from your knife-making skill (wich is pretty amazing) but I'm still proud for a first piece.
The handle is in paracord and the sheath is in molded Connolly leather with a paracord ball knot retention system. (sorry for the French on the picture)

Cheers and merry christmas!

Welcome to the forum Koringer. I thought the holes (denture?) in the top of the knife were hideous at first, but after seeing how it works with the Kydex, I think that's a pretty cool feat of engineering. I rarely see anyone incorporate sheath retention features into a knife.

Oh yeah, émouture would be Grind. We use sanders to put the initiale grind and bevel on the knifes

Welcome to the madness - aka (Bladeforums) Everyone starts some were.
Hope you enjoy the forums and your adventure into making knives......:)

One note you may want to edit your post and remove the link - out side promotion is against the rules for NON paying members.....;)

Thank you. That's not kydex actually, it's leather. I put it in water for an hour then in the hydraulic press with the knife between the leather layers and after about 50 hours the leather dries and keep the shape.
