I just finished my first knife. It's a small one so I wouldn't get too frustrated with everything I had to do for this. A lot of this knife was done by hand. Boy, do I envy anyone that has a grinder.... I have to give a big Thank you to Peter Atwood for all his help. I couldn't have done it with out you buddy! Also I'd like to thank everone on the Forums for all their help. I've done a lot of research on making this knife and everyone had a little imput on it.

Saberman, that's a pretty neat little rascal, and I like your disign. It should do some big jobs if need be, too. Your design makes a good point you don't need a big blade for 99% of work.

Thanks John, I'm hoping this will turn out to be a great little utility knife. First thing the knife is going to cut the leather to make it's sheath.

Very nice job! Beats the hell out of my first knife. I really like the design too. It flows nicely. Nice fit n finish too. Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys! I had lots of fun with it. After Blade I'll have a chance to up it thought it's paces.

That's a sweet little poker you got there, Saber! O-1 is fun to work, huh? I like that maple. Did you buy it stabilized or do it yourself? I know Peter mentioned wanting to get into that last time I saw him. :D

good job! One thing I would do is hit the thong hole with a counter sink to get rid of the inside burr. Just hit it a little!! You can even spin it by hand......

Other than that....its better than my first fot sure ;)

Never give or sell that one.

Also figure out what marking method you will want to use. Its an awsome feeling seeing your name on the blade ;)

Name on the Blade. That will come in good time. As to the thong hole, I did hit it with a c'sink then ran a drill down it, so the lines are just chatter. This is a design that I'll be working in the future, so I hope to figure you how to fix it. I know patience and learning is the key.

Jeff, the maple was stabilized by WSSI. Last year Peter and I had up together a large box done. O-1 takes a great edge and it was easy to do by hand.
