I finished my first knife a couple weeks ago. I gave it to me good friend Chris for his birthday. I wish the grind lines were mine, but they are that way from the kit blade. I used the texas knifemaker's little badger (440C with cryo treatment) and resahped the handle and put a little choil on the blade. I used black linen micarta for the scales. I deinitely have some ideas as to what not to do with the next one.

Please bear with me. I tried to post the pics and messed something up. I'm web page illiterate.

No need for email Zac, here you go. If you have any more photos in the future, just email them to me and I'll send you back a more manageable size pic so you can host it qhere you want.

I hope my first knife turns out as good by the way. :)

Looks great for your first. Other than basic finishing, which ain't bad mind you, use it and think about how it feels and what you like and how it works and go from there. The next will be better, and the next and so on. I like the basic design, it makes for a handy little knife.

Learn from each knife you make and from others that are on the same path. Good makers are allways learning and enjoying the learning experience.
This is my seventh year as a maker and I will learn something today.
