First knives/intro

Hi my name is Cody, I am 20 years old from Texas! I got the itch to try to make a few knives after I got a handmade one for Christmas this year. I started by making an Aaron Gough filing jig.

Both knives are made from old Nicholson files.

First knife has some sort of African wood for a handle that was given to me.

Second knife has a black walnut handle and a leather sheath also made by me.

Any and all criticism is welcomed!

Good start, keep at it!!! The more you do, the better you will get and the more fun you will have along the way. I moved from doing a file knife to 1095 and now Im back to messing with file knives again just for the heck of it! Keep it up.

Thank you! I just ordered 4' of 1084 so I should have enough to keep me occupied for a little while!
