Just wanted to drop in and say 'hi'.
As spring is around the corner and I'm looking at doing a little back country camping, I made the jump to check out a new tool and treated myself to a WWII with wood handle.
I've been eyeing khukuris in general, and HI in specific for years. Looking forward to poking around these sub forums learning what I can. Much more excited about testing her out when she shows up at my door.
Cheers.

Welcome diablero !
Everything you ever wanted to know about khukuri's can be found in the stickies at the top of the main forum or on the main website pages. Feel free to poke around, enjoy yourself and ask questions. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the WWII, its the perfect blend between weapon and tool. It was Uncle Bills favorite.

hi there diablero,
The WW II is my go to khuk. To me it is like a combination of all the best attributes of the many different styles of khuk:)

Have fun and be safe.

Welcome Aboard. IMO you have made a good start to your (probable) HI Khuk collection. I find my 16.5inch WWII a real pleasure to own. ;)

My (probable) collection? LOL
I do tend to buy several variations of anything I like or find useful. I had difficulty choosing just one, despite reading the helpful Sticky. There are, at least, 3 more I'd like to try out :)

Heck diablero, I hear you there.
You know what, the khukeris range is very interesting. So many different kinds of terrain and altitude in Nepal, that need different styles of knife. Swamps and mosquitoes, savanna, highlands, mountains, jungles:) I sure like to experience all these places through these fine craftspeople.

Have a good one,
Mark

Arrived very quickly ;) The blade has that "hard to articulate" quality of feeling alive in the hand.

16.5" WWII is probably my favorite kuk, and one of my favorite knives in general.

Welcome to the Cantina!

John

Is kinda pointy, ain't it?
