Finished this one last night. It is my first time doing a ladder pattern.
It is about 300 layers of 1095 and 15N20 and does it have lots of SHIMMER.
5" blade and 9 3/4" OAL
416 stainless and a nice piece of ironwood.

Would like to hear your comments
Thanks
Mike

Good looking knife Mike. Especially like your contouring of what looks like a very ergonomically pleasing handle.

Can't really tell much about your ladder pattern from your photo which I expect is a result of that nice shimmer you mentioned.

The blade shows nice crisp pattern control on this side, but we need to see if pattern matches on the other side of the blade.

Looks like very quality work and very nice styling! I want to try a bowie so bad. Benn doing mainly a few skinners and hunters and scared of messing up the bowie proportions but seeing knives liek this makes me wanna try anyway!

Mike, I've never seen one of your knives that did not tickle my "desire" button in a big way, and this one is CERTAINLY no different.

Great job!

A beautifully made knife I like everything about this one especially the Damascus. I had a little preveiw of this one earlier today along with another super knife mike had just finished up.

I think you should keep at it with the ladder pattern damascus.
If the first time turned out this good, you must be a natural for this pattern. The way the pattern is oriented on the blade looks great. The handle shape and finish look really good too. If you haven't guessed yet, I really like this knife. It turned out great. Can't wait to see what you make next. Hopefully you won't keep us waiting too long. Thanks for posting the photos.
