Hey Guys, a couple weeks ago I saw a John Lloyd Lanny's clip for sale in the exchange forum. I pounced on it and now I have my first Lanny's clip.
So far so great, this knife is just a little better F&F than my first Lloyd knife and it's function is flawless.

The blades looks very capable for the chores soon to be at hand.

It's 4 1/8'' closed, so it's not exactly people friendly.

But around here it doesn't really matter.
At first I was a bit worried that it would be too obtrusive, but it's slim design makes the bigness of the knife all go away.

I can't really even tell it's there.

The Steel is 52100 and if it's anything like my first Lloyd knife, than it's going to rock.

I stropped the edge up with Kevin's strop and man, it's scary now.

This knife will prove to be a great companion in the outdoors and it's keeping me company till my other Lanny's gets here.

Beautiful knife, fantastic work.

Great handle material. I think I have heard some one call that barbed wire micarta?

I find that size just about right for me. Gives enough blade length for cutting cheese and apples for my boys! Snack time comes around often for two little boys!

52100 is a great steel for it too!

Color me jealous!

The scales are indeed Barbwire micarta and I love them.
They really stick out in the direct sunlight, they have a lot of character and depth to them.

I love natural handle materials, but this micarta makes for a great user.

great looking knife. like the scales too. and love the handle shape. congrats.

That's a fine looking knife. In my book, you can't beat a Lanny's clip for a single blade, all purpose knife. And with those great looking micarta scales you can use the snot out of it and not worry about messing up the way it looks. Nice score.

Very nice. The sun really makes the covers pop in picture 2. Great score.

Beautiful knife! Congrats on that one, for sure.

Hard to go wrong with a Lanny's. It can pull down all sorts of duties from EDC to hunting and fishing tasks.
A real all-purpose design.

Congrats Johnny! Love the overall knife and the micarta looks to be a great choice for a work knife. I hope to see more pics down the road :)

Do you have a pic of what the knife actually looks like with the blade open. The angles are confusing and don't really show off the knife.
Thanks,
BB

Great knife! Congrats! I like this pattern but if I could find one for under 100$ I'd pick one up!
