The TAD Gear express filally got here (few days ago) glad it finally got here. I was perfectly happy with the small regular, but the large is a new dimension for me. Sure I have other good large knives, but the Seb is light, thin, and goes not give the feel of bulky. I can carry this much of the time that I carry knives. There are times of course, only a small will do.

Another issue is, the blade shape. Why oh why did CRK alter the shape of the Small Regular from the Large Regular? (made the Small's tip area more narrow) I like the wide shape best. I was never able to handle Seb's before, or I would have noticed the diff (can't tell much in photos from the web).
See the below:

I like them both of course.

You might be carrying that Lrg. Seb more than you think, Gull Wing. The Lrg. Seb is my small Seb also! As for the altered blade shape--- don't even ask. Enjoy your new Sebenzas.

This thread is to sing the praises of the LARGE Sebenza.

I have in no way the first idea of thinking I would influence the folks at CRK central into changing the best selling knife ever. As long as that keeps up why would they change anything.

Glad to hear you like your new sebbie. Yes, I also preferred the wider blade of the classic. I had asked if I could have a classic handle with a regular blade, but no can do! Anyway, difference is minimal and enjoy !Adding fluting to that on the handles ??

Ok frends, I left you a ringer on the photo. :D:D
It was the Small. See the disappearing scallops on the lock area. I took them out for two reasons 1. The scallops seem to interupt the natural flowing lines of the beautiful simple lines of the Sebenza, especially with the linear flutes.
2. The Small was just a little hard to open, so I have a little more room for my finger now.

I don't have a small Sebbie, but went for a large CLASSIC one exactly for a similar reason. They look to have more room for the thumb to get at the lock bar when releasing the blade.
