First try at this. Wicket and Craig.
The lining went well screwed up in other areas.

Nice work, very good craftsmanship.......I can't see any screw ups, but if you say so.........

Thanks Rayban you're very kind.

The leather was blemish free before I messed up the back and i made a streak just below where the lining rolls, and there's more, the stitching is out of the groove in the back and...

But still it's a first for me and there will be another chance.

Lined is my next challenge. I will consider myself lucky if it turns out half as well as your first offering!

Thanks Claude,
I sent and email with a few question, my apology's for misspelling your name.

DD,
Give it a try, it wasn't as hard as I thought.

Mark,

Looks pretty dang good. IF you want to step it up a notch, try dying and burnishing the edge of your belt loop, just like the sheath edge. That would really make the package pop.

Robert,

Thank You, I couldn't think what to with it, seems so obvious yet I couldn't come up with a solution. I'm gonna do it on the next one.

Maybe it's my age?

Mark

I like it, great looking job for a first attempt at lined. Could you tell us what thickness the main sheath is and what thickness (and type) of leather used for the liner?

I want to try a lined sheath soon, I really like them.

Is the entire sheath lined throat to tip?

Thanks Griz,

The body is 8-9 oz. from wicket & craig, it's fully lined and the lining is from a sample pack 6"x 8" approx. samples maybe upholstery leather ,not sure.
It was very stretchy I think deer skin would be good.

Cool. Here's another question, does the lining go all the way to the edge or do you stop just shy of the edge?

I thought that would be how it was done to make for a nicer edge since I'm sure not all liners would burnish down properly.
