Doug Ritter at www.equipped.org has a article up about his day at the SHOT show. Mostly multitools and laser products but there is some good info plus a few pictures.

Thanks for the info Walter!

The Gerber Gator Jaw looks interesting!

It looks like the Leatherman Wave may have some serious competition. The spring loaded handles and the tungsten/cobalt carbide wire cutter inserts sound like a good improvement.

Mark,
I always thought that the Gerber Multiplier 600 were already better than the Wave. Never did understand what people liked about the Wave.

Same here on the 600 series. I love mine, and I absolutely cannot get my hand pinched between the handles like everyone says. You could with the original, but not the 600 series. I think a lot of people wrote them off when they saw the original and haven't ever really tried the 600.
That new one posted looks pretty cool though. If it ever hits the market I may have to have 2 of them. My 600 for carry at work where I'm going to abuse the hell out of it. And that one for when I'm not at work. Its a litle flashier than the 600, and would probably get even more ooh's, aah's and what the hell is that thing? I like the sliding action better than fan handles though. Thanks for the pics.

Fix it right the first time, use Baling Wire !

Aye, that's the rub. $136 is a lot of money for a multi-tool, no matter how good it is. Looking forward to seeing it reviewed on the board here.
