The SEC is overrated. :eek: Looking like the NCG is going to be SEC CG ver 2.0, the way it shoulda been.

And one of them not even good enough to win the SEC West.
True. But they had a lot of injuries during the final couple of weeks.

Pretty amazing that two SEC teams are going to be playing in the final playoff game. Lots of good teams this year. Central FL beat Auburn. Amazing.

By the way OP, what's with all the abbreviations. The only one I understood is SEC.

NCG = National Championship Game

SEC CG ver 2.0 = SEC Championship game, ie. the actual SEC champ game was GA vs Aub, he meant it should have been GA vs Bama. So GA vs Bama is the supposed SEC Championship game part 2.

Man, that OU vs GA game was awesome. I appreciate a good defensive game but those shootouts are fun to watch.

I hope GA pulls if off. Bama has enough titles in the last decade, I'd like to see someone else win it. More importantly, I just want a good game to watch.

To be honest about it, I mostly want to see a good NCG. I generally root for Alabama when AL plays just about anyone other than TN. I won't be heart broken regardless of who wins as I think GA has a remarkable team this year. I agree that the SEC championship game should have been GA vs AL.

what's the deal with, "The SEC Championship game should have been Ga vs Ala"?

Alabama did not do what is required to be in the SEC Championship game. Period.
Thus they should not have been there.

They were the two best SEC teams in my opinion. Funny how things work out. This game was pucker time whether you rooted for GA or AL.

Yeah. I wasn't all that thrilled with the outcome, but it was a hell of a game!!! TWO freshmen QB's? Fromm was in a position to perhaps become the new Herschel but it was not to be. Wow!
For you degenerate gamblers out there, you would have won had you beaten Georgia anyway. The "sudden death"rule with no extra point attempted in this case meant that Bama did not cover the point spread.

GA certainly had Jalen Hurts (AL QB) number.....

Had AL played in the SEC championship game against GA and won, I suspect GA would never have been ranked in the top 4 for the playoff bowl games. If AL lost in the game, they may well have not been in the top 4 either. Interesting how things work out.

No kidding!!!! I am reading today that many Bama fans figured that the Hawaiian kid would be the starter next year. He just got the job a little early.

Can't imagine how much pressure Tagovailoa felt jumping into a game after half time after Hurts played the entire season as the starting QB. Hurts were clearly struggling and Bama needed pass completions. Hurts always was an effective runner, but with the Bama passing game all but missing in the first half, his running was pretty ineffective overall. GA has a very strong defense and an effective balanced offense. The GA coach was a Saban guy and now TN is getting an AL guy as head coach. Saban U....
