I've never carried a folder with over a 4" blade maximum. There was a thread - couldn't find it - about Mega Folders.

I remedied that today courtesy of Mr. Thompson's generous close out sale. The Rajah 1 arrived today and it's a beast for sure.

It waves easily and it flicks as well but I'll be using it as intended. Since my ESEE Junglas arrived today too, I took some pretty good licks into an aged old chunk of knotted apple tree wood. The Junglas did most of the work. So much for following the instructions.

I didn't hammer it too much since that wood was nearly petrified. It did take out small dead branches w/o difficulty and a big vine. It's so huge (folded up) that I laugh every time I look at it. What a great monstrosity to have around. :D

I thought the same thing about my X2 voyager, but what a workhorse it is. I EDC that monster for quite a while, and used it daily. Congrats on your new toys.

I have one of the old Carbon V Twistmasters from Cold Steel with a 5" blade. I've used that in the yard for years, and it loves to hack at the greenery.

I just picked up a LARGE folder from A. G. Russell. It's the 2009 Texas Ranger knife. Although it has 8Cr13MoV for the blade, it's still an outstanding piece. The blade is 4.75", and it looks small, from about 20 feet away. I have to say that I'm very impressed by the quality, and if you don't care about carrying it in a sheath, or it weighing down your pocket, it's a great knife.

My old Camillus Cuda Maxx 5.5 is a Mega folder, as well. That one just freaks folks out.

I also have a Protech Godfather, which although not a Monster, is definitely not a knife for the timid. The blade is close to 4.5".

I love mega folders!:D

That's pretty good if it can handle apple tree wood. If I recall correctly, that can be tough stuff. Congrats on the tank knife. :D

Congrats, but we need an in hand pic to truely appreciate that monster folder. :D

That Rajah is one killer blade. Congrats and use the hell out of it.
