First mini grip and Benchmade post

Picked this up on the exchange and I'm liking it. Opened the box and as I held it I thought wait, what is this? I tried out a full sized grip because I wanted to give Benchmade a try but just didn't like it very much (balance, handle, etc). I wanted to like it more than I did.

Always heard the mini grip was a totally different knife but my first thought was, this is way different than the full grip. Given, the full was a thumb stud and different blade shape but I held the mini and it basically changed my initial opinion on things.

I have several Spydercos and a couple Kershaw's that I really enjoy. Delica, Endura, Manix LW, Leek, Blur, etc.

Fun to add another brand to the mix and enjoy this little thing! I was leaving for an errand today but this was in the mailbox and had to try some box cutting and bush trimming.

It's a good little knife.

Great gift for your dad! I'm actually enjoying the yellow and this should be seeing some hiking, backpacking, and camping time. It did have some horizontal blade play until the pivot was tightened down quite a bit to the point where the action was stiff. I'm thinking that will continue to break in and loosen up.

Welcome to the light! Benchmade is a great company, that makes great knives.. the mini grip is my favorite.. enjoy it..

I just bought a beautiful Ritter mini grip m390 orange with stonewashed blade. My girlfriend loved it so much, I let her keep it in her purse and use it as she pleases. I never even got to use it. Lol.
