All right, why didn't anyone tell me how nice the Mnandi's were? I got my first one two days ago and it's hardly left my hand since then.
It is much smaller and lighter feeling than the pictures had me believing. It looks only a bit smaller than a small Sebbie in pics, but in reality it is a 'gentleman's knife' par excellence. The blade is quite slim as are the handles, with the clip installed the knife feels great, it is also very light. I have relatively small hands and I can open the Mnandi one-handed easily, using the nail nicks just like a thumbstud. It opens so smoothly it is almost sinful.
Despite its small feel, the blade is actually quite long in proportion to the handle. It is also quite thin, comes very sharp, and without the thumbstuds is a cutter all the way up.
The wood inlay is beautiful--I got African Blackwood and the dark wood (not black) is a great contrast to the polished titanium and satin blade.
I can't believe I've written "first" like I'm ready for another!
