Looks good and should give you plenty of grip. Did you strip the spine or grind it? I find they're pretty square to begin with but was just wondering.

Sanded it off with dremel sanding bit. Though the bit is now partially black.

Very cool. It looks like you did a good job. That's going to be the first thing I do to my BK-2 on Monday.
 
What did you use to do the jimping? I want to attempt this mod myself, but I've never really worked with metal before.
 
First I used a dremel.

Then I used this particular bit which came with it. I don't know if this is your bit of choice though.

Cause I found this one at Walmart after the fact. It says its for metal. I have not used it yet.

And I couldn't stand it any longer. Ordered me a BK2 from Amazon last night. Took the free month of Amazon prime which ill cancel when the knife arrives. Prime gave me free 2 day shipping.

After watching Mr Becker handle the bk2 in a posted video, I saw how thick that thing was. I didn't know. Had to have it.

Gotta new bench grinder for it when it arrives!

Congrats, Steve. You'll be happy with the 2, I think. I love mine.

I finally bit the bullet and got Amazon Prime trial last night as well, although I'm going to keep it, given how much stuff I buy from Amazon. The shipping rates alone will pay for the service quickly, and I won't have to wait as long. I hate waiting for stuff. The TV shows and movies are nice as well.
