Hello I wanted to get some feedback on my modifications that I did to my Izula II, I'm new to this so I clearly made mistakes but I do like how it came out! :)
I used lots of sandpaper 100-60, and my leatherman wave original, I may make improvements to it in the future.

You might as well etch and strip it at this point.
If you don't want to spend the $$ on etching solution, ship it to me. I'll do if for you for free.

Did you dye the handles, they look a little greener than usual. If so, I like it.

I'd like to do my etching myself, I want to learn new things :)
I soaked the handles in mineral oil, made them darker, also it gets oil on my hands haha!

Cool.
You've got a lot of exposed metal there, I'd suggest coating the edge and spine with candle wax to avoid getting the etchant where you don't want it.

So what all did you do?

Convex edge, strip the spine, notch and oil the handles? Am I missing anything else?

Looks like a good job! Is the edge a lot thinner? Did you do any cutting with it before you worked on the edge, so you could compare the old edge to the new one? If so, how does the new edge stack up?

I didn't convex the edge I just sanded the paint off, although I do free hand with my smiths fine diamond sharpener.
The knife does rattle in the sheath more because of the paint on the spine is gone but I don't mind.

If you remove the coating, you should go for some kind of patina.
That 1095 steel wil rust on you very quickly... I was surprised how fast these things rust and stain  without their coating.

This was my Izula without the coating :

They are some pretty good knives tough...
