First mod - stripping my rs. Help!

Hi!

I just got a SRKW Rodent Solution and I really like it. The only thing I want to change is removing the coating. I want it all shiney instead. Is that really hard for a newbie?

Do I remove the scales and if so, what is the best way to remove the tube rivets?
Just drill them out?
What do I use to fasten the scales again?

If I leave the scales, do I just sand the blade as close to the handle as possible?

A lot of questions as you see and above all I am swedish so a bit hard to explain in english sometimes.

Very grateful for a short step by step to get me started.

Leave the scales on and use a liquid paint stripped to remove the coating. After that you can polish if you like.
 
I just brush it on. It won't hurt the scales a bit.

Just one word of caution, though. The nekkid steel can be kinda ugly on some bussekin blades. Polishing it might be a lot of work. Still, stripping is super easy.
