Hey man, that's nice! I like the very slight belly on that blade. Is the ricasso cut out or drilled? Great package, thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys, it has a 3" blade, 6" overall x 1" at the widest, is 3/32 at the thickest, has a tappered tang, and the ricasso is drilled out with a 1/4"bit. The tang is also swiss cheesed to reduce wieght.

The black bead chain is left over from a Smith & Wesson neck knife that isn't worth a crap. I'm not sure, but you used to be able to get stainless or nickle bead chain from the hardware store, and I know at one time you could get black bead chain from military surpluss stores. I may end up keeping this one, if I do I'll replace the chain with a cord. Havent' worn dog tags in a while.

BTW, this is my first experiance with kydex, and I don't think I like the stuff. Anybody know of a way to keep it from scuffing a blade finish? can you line it with anything like maybe cheese cloth?

Y`know,Will I`ve thought about the problem with the kydex scuffing the blade finish myself.I`m wondering if it would work to use contact cement to glue a layer of felt to the smooth side of the kydex before forming,I`m going to try it soon,I`ll let you know what happens.

Hey Guys....

Do you like Real Nasty Scratches on your blades ????

Didn't think so....

Don't line your sheath with anything,, and I mean NOTHING....
When that glue lets go, that material is gonna bunch up at the bottom of that sheath like panties and jeans in the back seat of your Daddys Chevy...

The reason you guys are getting scratching on your blades,,is because you aren't making the sheaths correctly..

Your making kydex sheaths as if you would leather..You can't do it like that....

You need a buffer zone between the sheath and the blade..I don't care if you line a sheath with the fluff from a ducklings A$$,,its still going to scratch your blade...

BTW,, Contrary to popular belief,, its NOT the kydex that is scratching your blade......

It crap left in it after sanding that is causing the problem...

Tape your blades before you press, then wash the heck out of the sheath,, Before you seal it up with screws or rivits....

I can't tell you enough,,or use stronger wordfs than,,you'll be sorry if you line your sheath..It'll cause you a world of problems,,take my word on it...

Will...

If you are interested,, shoot me down a knife.. I'll make a synthetic sheath for you....

I do this stuff for a living, and know all the ins and outs of it..
