So, I have been without an Emerson for a few years now and decided I needed to get another one. I have always loved the looks of the cqc-7 without the wave, so I knew the cqc-7 would be the one for me to get. I have owned a horseman, a-100, mini cqc-7, and a specwar, so I thought I knew what I was getting into.
I was expecting to spend the next few days breaking in the cqc-7, but I was wrong! This 7 has that nice hydraulic feeling I used to have to work so hard for! As with every Emerson I have ever owned the grinds on the blade are impeccable. It's obvious that Emerson has really stepped up their game as this knife locks up solid in every direction with a centered blade and smooth action right out of the box. It even has a great detent! I hope this is the new norm

My new weekend edc, check out that blade!
