This little knife is also the first with my new stamped mark. 7 1/2" OAL, weathered oak finished in Tru Oil, frame handle(mild steel frame) hammered copper band with rawhide wraps, brass pins and forged saw steel blade with aged finish. Sheath is the usual rawhide over vegtan with natural edges on the front flap.Tin cones deerskin fringe, horsehair, antique trade beads and copper tacks round it out.The piece of wood in the pic is some of the rough handle material.Looks a lot different does'nt it?

Very nice John.
Early on I thought you may be trying too hard to get that primitive look.
Now your pieces seem to have a more natural and authentic aged look to them.
I imagine it's not easy to make something new look really old. ;)

John, it just keeps getting better and better. You have become a real talent in the "primative" filed.

doesn't look forced at all to me. It is 100% authentically yours. Great flow within and through the entirety of the package:thumbup:.

Thanks everyone. Kevin it is harder than most people realize, but it is a little easier now that I have figured out processes that work for me.

You definitely captured the primitive look and the sheath accentuates the knife perfectly.
