Waiting on my first khukuri, a dui-chirra, bought from a forum member. Am so excited waiting on this blade. Will try it out on some light yardwork right away-I understand this model is not rate for heavy wood chopping and I have axes for that anyway. Then, soon as I can sneak off, a little camping.cwd

Those can be very nice and beautiful. I saw the Himalayan Imports one below on zknives. It's a 20" Dui Chirra (22.05" OA), weight is 766 grams (25.9 oz), and cost $200 USD.

Mine is also an H.I., think the seller said blade was around 16.5"...should know first-hand before long.cwd

CONGRATS !!! I just got my 1st Kuk and lucked out that it was a HI YCS --- its a BEAST with BLING !!!

I'm with you 1SGBrewer. That is a mightily powerful weight in 22.05 inches. Would make a top notch war knife .
Looking forward to seeing cwdotson's Kukri too.

Got my dui-chirra at work today (did not want some kid to steal my mail at home and run around waiving the thing). Only time for a quick look over and handling, and no pics yet, but I really like this blade at first glance. Not sharp, but not expected to be yet. Looks like some scrub-shrubs and brush goin' down tomorrow after work (gotta take out the family for wife's b-day after work today. Hopefully, if technology works out, pics tonight.cwd
