With the ice finally gone it was time for the first trip of the year.
My oldest wanted to join me wich is always good.

Nice! It looks like it was a blustery day, overcast and windy. How do you like the bent paddles?
 
Bent shafts don't really make much difference to me. They give a little more "push" but I could get by without them.
 
So there is hope that the ice will go out here too :rolleyes: Looks like some great wetlands there for exploration; all the better to have your son along.
 
Seeing pictures like this is giving me the itch!!! Cant wait till i can get out on the water. Only need this ice to disappear haha.

Bent paddles are a must for canoe tripping in my mind... I can paddle all day and not get sore. For just messing around straight shafts are fine though.
