Hi folks -

I received my beautiful new Kephart last night and rushed home from work today to take a few pictures to post for the folks here - so here goes!

The knife feels great in the hand, and is really beautiful with lots of character.

The leatherwork is beautiful as well, and the knife slides in effortlessly, and then stays stuck in, I can turn it upside down and the knife will not shake out - just perfect in form and function.

I am very happy with the knife, and now I can really see why Stomper's creations are so habit forming! I have two more on order and will very likely have to get more after that.

best regards -

That is a great looking handful of knife.

Very nice knife, and the pics are great! I really like that burl on the handle as well, although I must admit that it sometimes reminds me of souls escaping from Hades in some old movie I saw once :P. Very cool stuff!

Hi Noah -

Was that "the Devils Advocate"?

I remember that scene where the tormented souls are in the wall behind the devil.

Thanks for all the comments.

I used some sandpaper and made a little ramp/groove for my thumb to rest in when using the chest lever grip. Not a traditional Kephart feature but I like it.

It has seen a 4 day trip so far with plenty of carving fuzz sticks, scraping fatwood, and being used with my firesteel. Lots more to come.

Hi Snow -

Cool! Interesting idea with the customization - I am not sure what a chest lever grip is though (not much of a bushcrafter, but I want to learn...)

I will try to make a fuzz stick with my Keppie and I'll post back here -

Thanks for the pics of your JK Kephart!

best regards -
