Just got my first Swamp Rat, a CG Ratmandu. This knife is freakin awesome! I'm really impressed by how comfortable she is, especially choked up, it just fits in my hand so nicely. It's one thing to read all about how good the ergos are, but actually holding it, this is one of the most well designed knives I've ever owned. And the edge ain't half bad either :p I can see 4 or 5 repeat purchases in the near future...






I can't wait to beat the hell out of this thing :D
 
Good first choice for SR-101. The stuff is equally addictive as INFI in my book, keep the edge greased with a bit of vaseline and it will be good for over a month of storage. Regrease it after each unsheathing to make sure it doesn't rust any.
 
There is no better fixed blade knife than the RMD imo. It does everything well, handle ergo are awesome, one of the best steels on the market (better than INFI imo), and the Swamp team is so great to deal with.
 
That's all I've heard about it. I haven't gotten much of a chance to beat on it, other than a tree in my backyard, but I got it on Saturday, and haven't been able to put it down since. I'm looking forward to doing some tests between that and some of my INFI; very excited to see how they stack up against each other!

Thanks, everyone! SR-101 is definitely some killer stuff. As if INFI addiction wasn't enough, now I've got two steel monkeys on my back!

Thanks, buddy! I'm really happy with the sheath, although it's set up for left handed carry and I'm a righty :p I gotta get my RMD hooked up like yours, then I'll be a happy man!

Yeah, the pattern on it came out really nice, I love it. Although, I do feel the need to give credit where credit is due; being that I got this off the exchange, it was Mikeynyc who truly fixed me up with it lol.

Reminds me of my HRLM except the blade coating is sage. Each run of micarta must be a bit different.

The RMD was my first Swamp Rat, sold to me by OldPhysics. Very nice choice.

That's a good looking HRLM, David. Wish I had one.
 
RMD was my first Bussekin!
I got one on eBay at a decent price... I got hooked... at last count I had 30 or so Rats and about 70 Kin together... I might have bought a few since then...
