Nice site, I just found it.

I have a question for all you knife makers. Is there a market for african plains game horns, such as Springbok, Blesbok, Kudu, Eland, Reedbuck, Gemsbok, etc, etc?

Also bones from the same, and maybe Giraffe?

I have a connection in South Africa who would be able to supply me with various amounts of these items if it would be worth the trouble to get them here.

Those items are all very popular for knife handles. There is a definite market. Some sources already exist in the States.

Customs, Import laws, and Fish & Game laws from various states have caused some problems for folks attempting to sell those items here. Do your homework very carefully. :)
 
I'll check with my friend over there and see what it will take to get some shipped here. He's a Proffesional Hunter and has several clients who shoot their game and never take any horns home with them, I don't know what he does with them in that case.

Where would I be able to find current information as to how much these types of horns would realistically be worth?
