I recently inherited some really nice knives from a relative. Most are of a common nature (many Case folders etc.). I am NOT a knife collector although I have a few fantasy blades, swords and other assorted junk. My question is this, One of the knives is still in the original box and original plastic wrapping. It is a Boker Model 501, a fixed blade hunting knife and sheath. The blade is very unique (in my opinion) being 3 1/2" long and 1 1/2" thick (wide?). The guard is very thick solid brass blended right to the shape of the handle, which is made of some sort of rubberized material with a metal Boker logo insert. I was told by the Boker people that the knife was last manufactured in the 1980s, but they could give me no further info. Anybody out there know more about this knife, and if it is of any value?
Thanks in advance.
