In ohio you have a knife by Anthony Hudson. He's from Amanda, ohio. He's ABS Journeyman smith.

Anything else what type steel what's it worth is the quality any good

Looks like a fine knife to me. Stag handle, damascus bolster, a nice hamon, good fit and finish. A knife by an ABS Journeyman smith too....ya done good!

Judging by the hamon (the "temper line"), I'm sure that it's carbon steel, maybe 1080 or 1095. Could be O-1 tool steel because of the heavy etch on the blade to bring the hamon out.

You could do some research and find if the maker has a website or phone number and call/email him. I'm sure he'll remember the knife and can tell you all about it.
