Hello everyone,
I finally joined bf after a year of lurking. Thanks to you I have been introduced to knives I would have never considered. However, my wife and bank account disagree, just keep reminding them both that knives are cheaper than racing motorcycles.
I have tried to read everything I can on bf and like many have learned a ton of stuff about the different companies, custom makers, and various steel types used for blades.
Since lurking I have picked up the following: Spyderco - Gayle Bradley, Sage 1, Paramilitary 2 (sprint w/CTS20CP), and a Mule Team 9 (by the way what are the positive attributes of the cobalt special steel used for the MT09, how is it's edge retention, toughness, etc when compared to M4); Benchmade - Mini Dejavoo and Mini Bone Collector; Bark River Knife and Tool - Woodland Special (this one did some heavy work on my elk this past September), Mikro Canadian, Little Creek, and I picked up a Lil Canadian in 3V as a gift for a good friend; ESEE - Izula; Ontario - Rat 3 in D2; and last but not least I a Nessie Necker from Blind Horse Knives. I hope some day to get one of Mr. Wilson's cutting machines for future elk and deer hunts.
At any rate, happy holidays to everyone and thanks again for such a great resource.
