First Post - New ESEE 3 owner

I had been a die hard Benchmade fan...that is until I got my hands on my new ESEE 3. I now have new addiction. I plan on buying an Izula next. Then it's a toss up between the HEST or 4. I have a few questions for you guys. I apologize in advance if they have already been addressed.

1. Is the upcoming HEST folder going to be a limited run type of thing or will it be a new model in the line?

2. Is there any discussion or pictures of the different ways to wrap the handles on the Izula?

All I can say is SWEET product and amazing company. I have had mine for about a month now and it is my primary pack knife.
 
Congrats and welcome! I have a 4 and love it. Its the best size for a bush/woods knife imo.
1;First run is 400. 250 of them are numbered. All the info is the thread.
2;Search for izula wrap and you'll find tons
 
Welcome mmyron1! It's great to have you here!

1. It is a new model
2. There are various threads on wrapping Izula handles that will come up if you do a search. Here is a suggestion... Be sure to tape the edge BEFORE you start to wrap the handle as the Izula is well known to bite those who do not!

Correction: There will be 250 LE numbered ones AND 400 regular ones.
 
Thanks. I guess what I am asking about the folder is if I miss out on the numbered models did I miss out completely?

For me it was a toss up between the 3 and the 4. I went with the 3 just because I was looking at them for awhile and didn't really get a chance to see a 4 until after I ordered my 3. No matter what they will all be in my new collection. I will check the searches out for the Izula cord wraps. I like the idea of the handle scales but the thing just looks wicked with a nicely done wrap.

No - you just have to get on a list for pre-order from one of the dealers that R.A.T. posted in the announcement thread.

All of the known info is in the first post of this thread.

For your Izula wrap, check out youtube, there are several very good vids out there that show how to do different wraps.

Thanks for the info. I will be sure to check youtube. Man I want one of those folders more everytime I see the pics of them. And the fixed blade HEST for that matter.

You were right when you said you'd end up with them all!

I just got my HEST in the mail yesterday, it is an excellent knife!

And to tell you the truth I have no idea what my first post was. I do know it wasn't in this forum.
 
mmyron1 - welcome to the best knife "family" and warranty in the business.
+1 on the you tube...I'm an idiot on that fancy stuff and I wrapped my Izula in less than 10 minutes and love it even more!
that's a WHOLE lotta knife in a small package...
