Hi guys, this is my first post on Bladeforums.

I'm pretty new to knives, so my collection still numbers in the single digits. My favorite EDC so far has been a Spyderco Manix 2 lightweight. I prefer it to my Kershaw Skyline, Mini-Grip, and a Benchmade Barrage. After ten months of flawless performance, it was stolen.

I'm looking for a similar quality EDC knife for less than a hundred smackers. The obvious options are of course Delica4 and mini-Griptilian. I've also had my eye on the Centofante 3 and 4.

I'm just wondering if there's another great knife in the same price range that I'm overlooking.

Thanks

Bummer. I think a delica 4 with zdp 189 is a great choice. Hard to beat for under a buck.

well if you really enjoyed the manix2 you can easily get one for far less then $100 but I do agree the delica is really hard to beat for the amount you put into them. Kershaw also has many knives in your range that are excellent specifically the blur or knockout.

Thanks for the heads up on the ZDP Delca--I hadn't though of that.
I've found one for about 80, seems to be perfect.

Thanks!!

Been carrying a VG-10 Delica 4 for a while now, the knife performs very well. Handles my every day cutting chores extremely good, very happy with it so far.

Sorry to hear about your knife being stolen.

I love my full size Grip 550HG, perfect EDC size IMO.

I also have a Centofante 3 and for the money its am awesome knife.

It seems a lot of people don't talk about it, but it really is an awesome Spyderco choice.

I don't own a Delica, but one of my good friends absolutely loves it and carries it more than any of his other knives.

if you are looking for a kershaw why dont you just ask the kershaw person that is here on the forms?? I bet he will be more than happy to help you out.

The Wayne Goddard limited production meets your criteria .. pretty good lookin spyderco

Sorry about your loss, any idea who the theif is? I hope they slash themselves bad with your piece.

My suggestions:

1. Spyderco Manix 2 (g10 version)
2. Spyderco Endura
3. Benchmade Griptilian
4. Benchmade 15020 Bone Collector
5. Buck Vantage, you choose the steel type based on model.

Sorry for your loss... :/

I have been EDCing a full-sized Griptillian [Combo Edged and Spyder hole] and a Spiderco Delica4 [w/Emerson Opener] and I have found those to be a great combination! The jimping on the small Delica helps with detailed cutting and the serrations on the Griptillian helps with cutting of ropes, etc... I keep the Delica clipped to my pocket [even in PJs] and forget it's there cuz it's so light and I keep my Griptillian clipped to my belt.

Personally, next knife is going to be the ZT 0350! I can't wait to get it next month!
