Just wanted to say hi to everyone. Not a big collection here, mainly Ka-Bars and OKC's with a benchmade mini-barrage and esee 5. Just want to forewarn you all that I have a zillion questions and that no matter what I have in my collection. My baby is he Air Force Survival Knife my old man gave me when I was 9. I know it's probably laughed at, but I'll always carry it when I can because I know how to use it and it means the world to me.

I joined here because I want to increase my knowledge on blades and what better place to go than the horses mouth.

Welcome,
Stick around and post often. There is much to learn around here.I learned something every time I visit this site. All the information that I have learned here makes me dream about chasing some type of rabbit that runs down a hole every time I get close.I think he is a fluted or titanium or carbon fiber high carbide rabbit that eats vanadium. It's a very humbling experience when you think you have learned so much just to find out that you really know very little compared to some members that frequent this forum.I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I do....
best regards,

Welcome, and no-one will laugh at your choice. If its your old man's survival knife its your choice no-one elses'. Thats actually a very nice piece to recieve from him it hold sentemental value to you and thats pretty much all that matter.

Welcome! What I have learned here is that you have 2 ears and 1 mouth. Use them accordingly. This being an Internet forum, some believe they have 2 eyes and 10 fingers. The also act accordingly...

Welcome. I am sure you will find here, as I have, the best one stop place for a blade enthusiast to learn stuff, especially a beginner like me.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I find myself using my ak bar usn mk1 and my mini barrage on a daily basis. I have an esee 5pmon my camping pack that is my tank when I go in the woods

Welcome Ourichie! I agree with the rest of the lot here, if you father handed down his survival knife that is an honor to say the least. Cherish that blade. I've got a skeletonized Beretta that I bought when I was a security guard because it was all I could afford back then and it is an old friend now, so I know how you feel. All the best!
