Hi
I have always had a pocket knife/ multi tool around, but about 18 months ago I was bitten by the knife bug in earnest. I have been reading posts on this forum A LOT and purchasing some knives, today I heard my new GSO 6 shipped.
Here is why I registered today and wanted to post:

1. I wanted to say to people who get it HOW EXCITED I AM TO GET A GSO 6! My friends don't really get it like I know you knife people will.

2. I want to say thank you for all the great information I have gotten from this forum. I read it all the time, though this is my first post.

3. I have anxiety that I should have ordered the GSO 5.1. I will use the knife in the woods, making fires, whittling, having fun with an awesome knife. Can anybody talk me down? Did I mess up?

Thanks for your time.

First off welcome to the forum, this is a great place.

My GSO 6 arrived a few weeks ago and I love it. A six inch blade with no choil was an easy decision for me, I have the GSO 4.1 and 10 so it fits right in the middle.
The 5.1 blade is 5.75" with a choil. You get a whole lot more cutting edge with the 6 for only 1/4 inch of extra length. For me, I see no need for a choil on the GSO design as the handle positions my index finger close enough to the blade to be very usable. For people who like them, Survive offers choil and no choil models so there is something for everyone.

This should get you by until your package arrives.

Here is my 6 and early 5.1 in ELMAX. They are pretty close with more cutting edge on the 6 due to the lack of choil. It is nice to have choices.

Nice side by side ceptor
It really puts things into perspective.

You will be happy. I have a 4.1...and a pre-ordered 3.5 is just about in the mail.
Different strokes.
