First Post - The knives that I have made

This is my first post here, so I fugured that I should show some of the knives that I have made in the past few months. They are nothing crazy, but my work has been improving.

This is my first knife:
I forged it out of a lower carbon 1000 series steel
Not knife steel but it was my first

This is the second knife that I made:
Also a forged blade but this one is 5160
Made from an old leaf spring out of a superlift lift kit
The scales are made from a wood that I found while camping
I cold forged this one at some point on accident and formed a weak spot. It cracked under heavy use.

This is my third knife:
First time using the stock removal method
Made from O1 steel, 1/8" thick

This is my latest knife:
I finished it today. Also a stock removal knife made of 1/8" O1

4" blade
1/8" thick O1 steel
Black and White spacers
Wenge scales
3/16" brass pins
8 1/4" OAL
Convex scandi - If ya know what I mean...

I see many improvements from knife to knife.
It is very exciting to see people pick up the passion for making knives, (or anything, really) and gratifying when they share their experience.

Thanks guys! I'll have more comming :) Hopefully they contine to get better. I'd love to try making one of those exoctic customs.... Soon maybe.
 
wow great work. It seems you have a natural instinct for form/ funtion/perspective, somthing that can not be taught. You sir are on the path to greatness.
 
Scandinavian grind, hidden tang, 3" blade, 1/8 O1 tool steel, Spalted Maple Burlwood, differential heat treatment
