Over the last six months or so, I have had the pleasure of reading countless posts here on blade forums through a coworker who has an account, and I finally figured I would get my own! I have always had a pocketknife, but I wouldn't have considered myself a real knife nut up until now. Being in my early thirties I was at first drawn to the more tactical knives, but after being around a more traditional knife designer on a daily basis, I have to admit I've been drawn more towards that direction. I find myself particularly drawn to the older knives. i just really enjoy the history from some of these old knives like Hen and Rooster and the old American made Cammilus. I do have one pretty big acceptation, which is these awesome Beckers! The becker sub forum was one I've prob looked at the most, lol, and I've certainly been bitten by the bug. After studying all the mods people have done, Derrick's in particular, I had to try it out. BK-14 and BK-9, stripped, patina'd in apple cider vinegar, and the 14 wrapped in para-cord, and I'm hooked! Looking at an old Cammilus era BK-2 for the next! Anyway, just wanted to finally say hello, and thanks for all the great info and stories! Hoping to become a beckerhead, so I have to get to posting!

Welcome to the forum. In my opinion, I don't care if you like traditionals, tacticals, balisongs, autos, friction folders, butter knives, plastic dinnerware, etc. All that really matters is that you have the KING! Everyone needs a BK-9. No if's and's or but's about it. :)

Welcome to BF! Join us over in the Becker section. I'm sure you'll fit right in!
