Hello all... I guess I joined this forum awhile back to view some pics. I just recently started lurking the vast sea of information on here. This place is awesome and I really like some of the custom blades posted. I can see this turning into the same kind of sickness I have with firearms.:D

I ordered a couple Striders (badlands ZM & ED neck knife) last week and have been toting them around for a few days. I really like the ZM it rides great IWB but had hoped it would be a little better at slicing..I cant even open an envelope with this thing and it didn't slice paracord well either...Maybe its only good for prying open car doors.. Can I do anything to make it perform better? Whats the best method for sharpening a recurve? Sorry if this is a dumb noob question..
Here is a pic of my new blades and weak collection as of now..

JH-slice, welcome to the best forum on the Internet, excuse me, one of the best (don't want to start a war with the Becker Head's on your first post . . . :)). Good looking knives, a lot of good guys on here & a ton of information if you need it.
Thanks for stopping by, good to have you.
Be safe.

Welcome!

welcome hang out in the maintenance section awhile & you will learn how to sharpen. it's best to start on some cheap knives before working on nice pieces. the newer alloys can be difficult to sharpen & i advise starting with a selection of dmt bench stones. there are more complicated edgers out there but i believe it's always good to know how to use stones since you can carry small ones everywhere you go.
