First PRO photos!!! Meteorite damascus gyuto.

This one was a fun project. We started out with a slice off a meteorite, a idea and a prayer.. and this is what developed!! :)
Im very proud of the knife and was able to talk my customer into having some good pictures done of the knife and presentation.

Specs,
Blade and bolsters, 1095 High Carbon forged with Meteorite. OAL 15"
Handle, Mammoth ivory with stainless corbys. , Tapered tang.
Box, Curly maple and lacewood, with cocobolo front handle. Brass hardware.
Presentation pieces, Included are a piece of the same meteorite that the blade was forged from. And a piece of the tusk that the handles were made with. :)

The whole package is stunning. Beautiful work. Someday I hope to be able to make something 10 percent as nice as that.
 
Wow, absolutely stunning, thanks for sharing. Hw does one test a meteorite for its composition and suitability to make things with?

I was just thinking that I wanted to see what a black liner looked like, and there it is. It's beautiful.

If you are willing to share: what are you using for liner?
