Hi everyone,

I just found this forum recently while trying to find a traditional folder that I would like as an every day carry. At the time the only two style names I knew were "Hunter" (like Buck 110) and Trapper. Its the first time that i have actually invested my money into a knife that i did not pick up at a sports and outdoors shop rack (It came in a box!). My Dad carries a Hen & Rooster Trapper and I thought it would be nice to share the same style as him, so I picked up the damascus mini trapper. I Bought it from (non BF dealer info removed) and had to return it as one of the pins stuck out and cut into my thumb. They were great about it though and sent me a replacement one right away. I must say it is quite different from anything else I own. It does feel like I am fixing to step into something that I may end up staying in for a long time though. I am already wondering what I want my next purchase to be.

Welcome to the slippery slope of traditional knives, Matt. Your wallet is not going to thank you for the trip!:D

Nice little trapper though. The trapper is a style very popular with some here.

Carl.

That's a helluva good looking knife. Congrats and hats off to you for taking such a plunge for your first step!

There's no rush to buy another. Enjoy using what you have and getting to know how it works for ya.

Welcome to the forums. That's a great looking first pick. I think you will fit in here just fine. You put some thought into your choice, picked a winner and already thinking about the next one!

Welcome home Matt. :D
You might be thinking "hey, this place is not my home"...but trust me.
If that's the first knife you chose and bought on your taste, with your money, out of your taste, and you have an internet connection, you might very soon call this forum "home".
