First Puukko, Lots of pictures.

Just finished this puukko and thought I'd post some pics here. This was my first puukko and first stick tang knife. My other two projects were rehandles. One of a Fallkniven S1 and another of a HI Bura dui chirra.

Handle is walnut, alternating leather and birch bark spacers and curly birch. Blade is a 3" HC Lauri.

Yes !! The kind of knife I was raised on ! The only comment is that the handle seems to me to be a bit fat. Even for my big hands I've found that the handle is best to be no bigger than 1"x3/4" cross section.

It is actually 7/8" wide and 1 1/4" deep. The butt is a little wider, but is still only 1" wide. The end of the handle sits very comfortably and securely in the space between the bottom of your thumb and palm. You can sort of see it in the last picture.
