First quality knife, did I make the right choice?

Hello everyone I'm new here and I just wanted to introduce myself. I recently picked up a BM 732 Ares at a local benchmade dealer and I'm not sure if I made the right decision or not. I tried out many knives and it really came down to 2 choices, the BM732 Ares and the BM910 Stryker. They both felt great in my hand and both looked equally appealing to me. The stryker felt slightly better due to the thumb groove but I really wanted an axis lock. I stood in the store holding and opening each knife for about half an hour because this was such a hard decision for me. In the end the store owner reccommended the Ares, hands down.So anyway I just wanted an opinion from you knife nuts on this forum, did I make the right choice? and why?

Welcome to Bladeforums!

First of all, you made a good choice if you're happy with the combination of grip and action. That you took the selection process so seriously pretty much guaranteed that.

Since you were choosing between two classics, so you probably couldn't go wrong. :)

The Ares is a great knife. The spearpoint blade is good for utility as well as self-defense. Like the similarly shaped Nimravus fixed blade, it was designed by Alan Elishewitz. The handle looks strange at first, layered as it is, but overall, it has a generalized grip, which gives you more options, like reverse grip, or choked up.

I'd say you made a good choice, the Ares 732 is a solid, reliable knife.
No complaints here.

You will be very happy with the 732, they are just about the perfect folder.

I personally would choose the 732 over the 910 but that's just my opinion.

thanks for the input guys, made me feel alot better about my decision. Its only been a few days, but I love this knife!

I'd choose the axis lock, personally. Benchmade makes great knives, so it would be hard to go wrong with either of them, to tell you the truth.
