First Randall, a Model 25

Greetings-

While not new to knives, I just picked up my first Randall, a Model 25, in a trade with another Forumite.

Now, I must confess, I traded for this Randall based solely on reputation alone. I have never handled any Randall knife in person!

So, I'm looking for some history and more info on this company.

If you purchase this book and the RMK CD from Intersquare, you'll get plenty of RMK 'starter' info...

I have both, and they really set me on the right path!

p.s. I've seen the book go for less, but intersquare is the 'source' for the CD...

While I have never seent he CD, I can vouch taht the book is great. I have read it nearly cover to cover, and the history it gives concerning the history of RMK and the different designs that they ahve developed over the years is very interesting. If you plan on colelcting Randalls, the book is a must. MAkes a good coffee table book, and helps to answer the "why would you spend so much on a knife?" question.

As for the knives, I love my Mod 14. I wore it aorund the house over Christmas break (since the Academy has deemed 7.5 inches "too much blade") and have admired it for hours. The craftsmanship is truly top-notch. I can't wait unit I get to actually use it...
