Hi
I just ordered a swamp rat rodent solution. I have a couple of questions.
What is the wait time? Does it come with the sheath? I'm assuming no. I ordered a green moss blade and black paper handle. What does black paper look like?

Congrats on the RS. Nope, no sheath from the factory. These RMDs have black paper handles but the tooling pattern is different on the RS.

Congrats on the first Rat. Like SW said, there are numerous sheath makers on BF that will be able to make a sheath for you.

I am willing to bet in less than 6 months will you be the proud owner of an RMD!!!

The RMD, RS, and a nice tomahawk and I would be fine in the outdoors.

Yep, this and what elof said.... these two are the "gateway drugs" of the Swamp. At least they were for me along with the Swamp Warden.

Congrats on your RS, I just got one and I can't put it down.

I made it with the ESEE-3/4 Molle Back in mind for easy pack mounting:

The straps are synthetic so they're stronger than leather and won't stretch, rot or retain moisture, etc. They're also spaced for molle/pals webbing for mounting to a pack, straps, gear etc.


Here's what's inside, I don't smoke cigarettes so I didn't mount the lighter vertically since I don't need to get to it very often. The flashlight is an Olight EOS i3 which is an awesome little torch for the size, uses one AAA and has three settings: 2.5, 20 & 70 lumens so it covers everything I need.... highly recommended.

The color combo on the last one is my favorite (OD Green/Chocolate Brown) but I just got some new black snaps in so I'll try them out on the next one.

NOW we are talking!!! Those are awesome, and I love the flashlight mount!

I need another sheath with a flashlight mount now lol
 
Thanks man! I figured with the Rodent Solution, Fire and a Torch it's got "EDC" pretty much covered! I've got a little pouch that I mount to them too...pictures later.

I like the lighter mounted like that. I would guess it's not coming out unless you pop the strap out of the way for removal. I can tell it's only a matter of time until I'm going to have to own some of your stuff, Eli. Photo bomb = :thumbup::)
