Hey y'all...
Excited to say I recently received my first RAT... an RC4 (Yay me!). I am quite happy to join the club and am looking forward to a long and beautiful friendship... :D (and can't wait to add another)

Now, to figure out the best way to carry and go out and play...

Oh yeah... what was your first one?

Ciao!

congrats and welcome to the rat club, slow down on your posts....5 in 2 years is a little needy!

knock the shoulders off your stock edge even if you do not convex it. Makes for a much better slicer. Did you go orange or micarta?

My first was the RC-4 and then the Izula. Now I can't decide between the RC-5 and the RC-6. Probably wait on the RC-6 with the swedge.

My first was a black Izula. I just received my black RC-4 this morning. If I get time during daylight Im gonna Take a pic and post it in the photos thread.
Congrats on your first. It won't be the last.

LOL... that's funny. I promise to slow it down a little. I usually troll edcforums, but since I have upgraded my collection with the new RAT... (next up, my RAT PACK number... woo hoo!)

I got the MICARTA scales and plain edge. Will get pics up soon...

AND, now that RAT has announced an IZULA folder, my decision about upgrading my EDC to a Benchmade may just have to be re-evaluated. :p

My first and only RAT to date is a Tan Izula but this has become an instant EDC and short of very fine work this knife has been my current favorite.

I pull it out and use it for something at least 3 or 4 times a day.

You'll love 'em all eventually.:D:thumbup:

So this past week, I took some of my scouts up to WV for some skiing (which was great, BTW) and along the way, just so happened to be the famed Smoky Mountain Knifeworks... we HAD to stop, after all, what scout doesn't like sharp stuff :)

To make a long story short, I got to handle an Izula for the first time... WOW. It was much more compact than I imagined and I can think of many things I would use it for...

All I need now is to decide which color (and the funds ) CAN'T wait!!

My first is my heavily abused black Izula...... I still haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. :o So it sits waiting patiently in the bag it arrived in.:thumbdn:

A black ESEE 5 was my first one, and still one of my favorites! I'd have to say it's a throw up between my ESEE 5 and ESEE 3 MIL. They are both GREAT knives and love having any chance I have to use them. Congrats on your new ESEE 4, it's a really versitle blade that fits in just about anywhere.
