Came home from a business trip to find these two beauties in the trustworthy hands of my neighbor. Let me say these knives are scary sharp, which is amazing given the blade thickness. I had a little fun with the Izula and some paracord.

Can't wait to get out and put them through the paces.

I opened this thread, saw the orange/black wrapped Izula and literally, said out loud (to myself), "Now that's cool!"

Good job. How were the orange and black initially secured?

Doc,

Thanks. I basically welded the two pieces together. I pulled the internal cords on the black paracord out about 1/4" which left a 1/4" hollow on the other end. I inserted the safety orange cord into the hollow and applied heat with a lighter which basically welded the two pieces together. I will take a picture of the other side in the next couple days so you can see it.

BTW, notice you are from Hamilton, Ontario. I travelled there quite often back in the late 90's after the company I used to work for was purchased by PSC. I'm sure you've heard of it. Most folks in Hamilton know that name well.

right on.. that is a perfect pair...:D very nice job on that Izula wrap too...

I love seeing all the different cord wrap variations on the Izula. It can almost become a different knife whenever you want it too. definitely getting one as a "Yay I found a job" present to myself... you know, when I find a job and all.

+1 on the outstanding wrap, thanks for sharing. That is a great combo you have, enjoy & use them.

I really like the rc4 knives a lot. This one looks great. Of course, having that wrapped Izula sitting beside makes for the perfect pair.

I dig the alternating colors on that cord wrap - very cool.

I'm thinking about picking up some reflective paracord to make a bunch of lanyards and cord wraps. I ain't sneaking around trying to be stealthy, so I like the reflective bits to help me find a dropped knife in the dark.
