First real SARsquatch use - is this normal?

Put my 'squatch to use this afternoon. I trimmed up some American Elm "root growth" shoots. I was careful not to strike dirt, rock or the root itself. I struck branches only, the largest of which was 1" around.

While cleaning, I noticed some curling and dents on the competition edge. I'm confused; I didn't think wood could do this to INFI?

I'd guess you did manage to hit some dirt/rocks just looking at where the dents are positioned. You're not ususally chopping with the tip, but that's where you'll hit the ground. About the right size dings for little rocks too.

I believe these have a zero edge. Not a whole lot of meat behind a zero edge. The thinking behind these grinds (if I remember correctly) is that they are for comp use (slicing through water bottles) and not really for chopping.

The comp edges are very thin at the edge. The micro damage to your edge could be buffed off quite easily. If you have any difficulties removing it, just send it to the shop and we'll do it for you at no charge.

Thanks,

Jerry :D

Jerry does it again! Cant beat a product with that kind of support & warranty!

Thanks for the replies. I'm not overly concerned, as this is a user. I know where to send if I can't restore it myself.

You call that damage? I call that normal edge fair wear and tear. That might take a few minutes to fix.

That is not a problem... I dinged up my squatch real good.. The beauty of infi is it can be repaired stupid easy.
